APM does into just stop with providing quality qualifications
and industry critical skills. As part of APM’s learning
experience, students are encouraged to gain workplace experience,
students are encouraged to gain workplace experience and build
their industry networks
APM full time students
Full-time students at APM participate in a supervised Internship
Program as part of their formal curriculum.
Entry into this program is dependant on demonstration of
commitment to learning, maturity and ability to meet commitments.
The Internship Program enables students to gain invaluable
work experience in a relevant industry organisation. The APM
process allows students to:
- select a company from over 200+ organisations who are
willing to mentor and supervise APM students. Students select
on the basis of the type of company they aspire to work
in.
- make an application and interview with the company as
if it were a real-life job interview
- work 2 days a week for the final 6 months of their APM
studies
- gain feedback and an evaluation from the Internship company
It is a way for students to truly experience life working
in the industry and a way to gain workplace experience.
APM part time students
Organisations and industry associations regularly approach
APM and ask if students would like to help with certain projects.
As these activities and events often occur on weekends, evenings
or can be structured flexibly, it is the perfect way for part-time
students to gain industry experience.
Part time students are encouraged to consider participating
in these volunteer opportunities, as there is no better way
to build industry credibility and add real workplace experience
to their résumé.
If a part- time student’s work life allows them the
flexibility to undertake a more formal Internship placement,
APM can consider other options to place them within industry.
