The practical nature of the course.

Working in hospitality, various bars and nightclubs.
- What did you enjoy about the course you studied?
The work experience and networking opportunities.
- What was your goal when you enrolled at APM?
To get a foothold in the entertainment and events industry.
- What is your current job title, company name and
job description?
Freelance event manager. I am self-employed
- Describe what your current role involves?
Project management, planning, strategy development, implementation
and onsite crisis management.
- How did you find your current job?
Through networks.
- What were the most successful aspects of the APM
course?
Faculty support.
- What advice do you have for other APM students
hoping to break into your field?
Go the extra ten yards, putting just a little more effort
in pays off. Find an opportunity that you enjoy, you will
be better at it.
- Did you find it easy or hard to get a job after
you graduated?
I was hard to find work through cold calling because it’s
a very competitive industry. So I turned to my network and
referrals from my internship.
- What other career goals or aspirations do you
have?
Set up my own agency, to be based in Asia or Europe. Probably
both!
