APM courses

APM’s cutting edge qualifications have been developed in consultation with the leading professional associations. Furthermore, our students will work with industry professionals with strong academic backgrounds learning, discovering and experiencing what life is like in the dynamic marketing and communications industry. This is all part of our commitment to ensuring that our students gain the knowledge, skills and experience to excel as Marketing, Advertising, Event and Public Relations professionals.

APM College of Business and Communication represents an exciting opportunity for those who are keen to learn from industry practitioners in a compressed time frame. With our renowned internship program, our qualifications will give you the best chance of securing your dream job.

We offer both higher education (degree) and vocational (advanced diploma and diploma) level qualifications.

You will need to decide which APM qualification is best suited to your requirements. There are important differences between the qualifications:

  • The Bachelor of Business Degrees are university recognised higher education courses. This means that the emphasis is on a more knowledge, as well as skill based, approach to learning. All lecturers are industry experts as well as experienced educators and the internship placement and career development is a major part of your course. To be eligible for the degrees, students should have completed year 12 with a UAI of 60 or above (or equivalent). Entry to the degree courses includes a phone or face-to-face interview. Bachelor Degrees now available through Online Learning (Distance Education).
  • The Advanced Diploma and Diploma qualifications are vocational courses. This means that the focus is on skill-based learning and there are more hours spent doing practical, ‘hands-on’ tasks. Entry into these courses is typically interview and/or experience based (not related to UAI).

Graduate, APM Training Institute, Advanced Diploma of Marketing specialising in Public Relations.
Current student, APM College of Business and Communication, Bachelor of Business (Public Relations).

There were many things that attracted me to APM – the accelerated course structure, on internship placement within the public relations industry, and the fact that students are taught by practicing industry professionals.

I really appreciated the way the college offered students great opportunities to network and make valuable contacts. Plus the fact that the college is strongly linked to the Public Relations Institute of Australia – that was extremely important to me.

I want to complete my APM College degree and ultimately gain my Masters in Communications. Long-term I see myself running my own consultancy. Anything is possible with an APM qualification!
