I graduated with terrific marketing and business knowledge. The lecturers were great and were always there to help us get the best possible marks. They made the experience fun and rewarding. When I enrolled my goal was to work for the Wests Tigers Rugby League Club and now I do!

As Sponsorship Executive, my role involves me servicing an existing database of sponsors, sourcing new sponsors, event and game day assistance and general marketing of the club. I interned at Wests while studying at APM and they offered me the position and held the job for me until I finished my course.

My advice to others wanting to enter the sports industry is that you don't always have to be the smartest person to get an opportunity but you have to sell yourself and be confident in what you do. No employer expects you to know everything but you need to be committed to learning and always looking objectively at yourself. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there.
