At APM we recognise the importance of the role played by Career Advisers to ensure that students make an informed choice about their career path and study options. Every effort is made to assist you as a Career Adviser to have relevant and current information at your disposal to give to interested students.

We have published a number of brochures which will be useful for your students.
They are:

Research
APM has been actively involved in undertaking relevant research in recent years.There are currently two reports available for your use:

1. Expectations of Year 12 leavers regarding their career aspirations and conditions of employment.

2. Comparison of school, university and college student's expectations versus employers.

Visits
We are also able to assist in broadening your students’ knowledge and awareness of Careers and study options by offering opportunities for visits to APM, or we can come to you. The options available are:

  • Free Career Talks (NSW only) during lunchtimes or Career Lessons.
    Representation at Career Markets, School Career Nights or Tertiary Info Evenings.
  • Visiting APM for a personal inspection and Info Session.
  • Bringing a group of students to tour the college. Morning or afternoon tea provided.
  • Visiting APM with a group of Career Advisers from your local association .normally 10am to 2pm, including presentations from Lecturers, current students and Employers. Morning tea and lunch is provided.
