For students who work during the daytime and are time poor,
APM offers 6-month and 1-year part-time study options. With
consistent effort, students can accelerate through credible,
nationally recognised qualifications.
Certificate or Diploma students at APM commit to a study
load that at a minimum consists of:
- Face-to-face lecturers 2 nights per week with some Saturday
workshops. Alternatively, some qualifications are available
as an all-day Saturday option with the occasional Sunday.
- Readings from support texts
- Assessments for each subject
As a general rule, the total amount of study time that part-time
students need to dedicate to completing their APM studies
is to consider the face-to-face hours and double that figure.
Student selection process for APM’s part time qualifications
Entry into APM’s part-time qualifications is
based on work experience and maturity. For those who have
completed HSC, APM also requires at least 1 years work experience.
For those who have not completed HSC then APM requires at
least 2 years work experience. Having work experience raises
the bar for the entire class as class discussions can centre
on things that you have experienced in the workplace. Previous
work experience does not necessarily need to be within the
field that students are intending to study.
Pathways to university
Have the best of both worlds - gain the skills you need to
progress your career and then continue onto higher level studies.
